Blast bridge: seven steps to withdraw ETH to Ethereum
Blast withdrawals now take about one day, but ETH must still be proved and claimed on Ethereum. Here are the seven steps, plus the gas and token details.

To withdraw ETH from Blast to Ethereum, start the withdrawal on Blast, prove it on Ethereum, wait through the challenge period, then claim it. Blast’s live bridge page says withdrawals take about one day. The phrase blast bridge can hide a key detail: signing the first transaction does not complete the move.
What do you need before starting a Blast bridge withdrawal?
Blast’s withdrawal documentation says the browser bridge is for regular wallets, such as MetaMask or hardware wallets. It does not support withdrawals from smart contract wallets through the website. Use the same wallet address throughout: funds go to that address on Ethereum.
Before you begin, check that you have:
- Access to the wallet holding ETH on Blast.
- A little ETH on Blast to pay for the first transaction.
- ETH on Ethereum to pay for the prove and claim transactions.
- Enough ETH left on Blast after the withdrawal to cover its transaction fee.
Blast’s docs say you can close the bridge between stages and return through its History tab. That helps if the wait spans more than one session.
How do you withdraw ETH through the Blast bridge?
For ETH, Blast’s documentation describes four onchain actions, with a wait between them. The seven steps below break those actions into the decisions and checks a user needs to make.
1. Open the withdrawal screen. Connect the wallet that holds the ETH on Blast, then choose Withdraw.
2. Select ETH. Enter the amount. Leave a small balance behind for the transaction fee, as Blast advises.
3. Submit on Blast. If prompted, switch the wallet to Blast Mainnet. Review and confirm the withdrawal in the wallet.
4. Find the pending withdrawal. In History, select the withdrawal when it is ready to continue. Blast says this can take up to an hour.
5. Prove it on Ethereum. Switch the wallet to Ethereum Mainnet, choose Prove Withdrawal and confirm. A proof is the onchain record needed to move the withdrawal forward.
6. Wait about one day. Blast calls this the challenge period. The claim button stays disabled until the withdrawal is ready.
7. Claim the ETH. Return to History, select the withdrawal and confirm Claim Withdrawal on Ethereum. The ETH then arrives at the same wallet address.
Does every token take the same route?
No. Blast’s documentation says WETH must first be unwrapped into ETH on Blast. USDB arrives on Ethereum as DAI and requires an extra finalization step; the full process can take longer than the ETH route. BLAST also has a separate finalization step. Check the token shown in the withdrawal screen before signing: the ticker you hold on Blast may not be the asset you receive on Ethereum.
The practical takeaway is to treat the withdrawal as a sequence, not a single transfer. Keep gas on both networks, use History to resume, and claim only when Blast enables the final step. The current bridge page lists about one day for withdrawals, while token-specific processing can add time.
